Special Character

Standing at the beginning of the new year, we are looking forward to four wonderful terms of learning, growing as a community, building our faith, and understanding how our this can impact those around us.

As it is the Year of Mercy – we will be looking at everything we do through the lens of mercy.

Our Inquiry question for the term is “How can I care?”. This theme links closely to our whakatauki and we will explore the ways we can show mercy in our everyday actions, as well as in ways that impact our wider community.  We will use the story of the Good Samaritan as a challenge to us when thinking about who our neighbours are.

We have many opportunities to come together as a school community and celebrate our faith – Please keep an eye out for our various events and occasions – such as Masses – and join in as part of our whanau at St Mary MacKillop Catholic School, and in C Pod.

This term our learning focus is God – with Lent and Easter fast approaching we look forward to developing our understanding of who Jesus is and what he came to earth to do for us all.
