This year we are putting a huge focus on increasing how much we are reading. Having access to different novels, either through the classroom, school library, community library or Duffy books will help develop this skill. All students are expected to be reading at home every night.

Students are also expected to be working on their basic facts knowledge, times tables, time telling and using Maths websites that are used at school, such as Study Ladder, SumDog or e-Ako.

Each teacher may set additional Home Learning for their class.

Much of your child’s learning is accessible online through their Google Drive or Classroom Blog. Sometimes your child may need to complete a task online. If they do not have access to the internet at home, there are opportunities during the day for this learning to be viewed and completed.

We will be sending home fun learning activities that you are able to enjoy together as a family. Please encourage your child to spend some learning time with you everyday.

We are always here to help if you need it, we can organise time before or after school if you would like support with what your child is bringing home.
